Interface & Effects Programmer

Hi! I’ve been playing video games since early childhood, with a particular interest in RPG and strategy titles. I started my game development journey at Malmö University where I got the basics and a wide knowledge base to build upon, and kept it going at The Game Assembly as a programmer where I have been improving even further.

My main areas of interest when it comes to programming are UI and effects/graphics, both areas of interest first developed at Malmö University and then refined at The Game Assembly. That said, I’m familiar and comfortable enough with other areas of video game programming, such as gameplay, tools, AI, and digging deeper into engine related things.

I am fascinated by what goes into making a good user interface, from the minimalist yet very much sufficient interface of Journey to the bombastic, over-the-top menu design of games such as Metaphor: ReFantazio which is just a treat to look at and interact with.

Outside of programming, I bring a fair few other skills to a game development project. I’m good at organizing and planning projects, as well as communicating between all the different disciplines. It is my opinion that these skills are part of the reason to having landed many of our projects in a good scope and delivered (mostly) on time.

In my free time, I (obviously) like playing video games, but I also enjoy nature, bird watching, photography and learning languages. Aside from birds, I love all animals, having grown up with a dog and plenty of cats.

Some of the adorable little critters I’ve been able to catch on camera!
